Alexis Mungin, owner of Farrah's Backyard Catering LLC, had one goal in mind: to bring families back to the table. Alexis comes from a long line of cooks and grill masters. She has perfected her skills in the kitchen for over 20 years. She's a wife, mother to four beautiful children and teacher. Her passion for community and family inspired her menu and passion to serve others comforting and delicious meals. Alexis' focus is to ensure that you're able to spend more time with your family and less time in the kitchen. 

Who was Farrah?

The Late Investigator Farrah B. Godwin-Turner and owner, Alexis Mungin are first cousins. On October 3, 2018, the Late Investigator Farrah B. Godwin-Turner suffered fatal gunshot wounds when she and fellow officers from the Florence County Sheriff's Officers arrived at a home to interview a suspect as part of a sex offense investigation.

The suspect, who was being investigated on allegations of sexually assaulting minors, was in the home with his adopted father. The adoptive father proceeded to open fire from a second-floor window - ambushing law enforcement officers. More than 400 shots were exchanged during the standoff. Farrah and six other officers were shot.

Investigator Turner multiple surgeries and amputations. She fought for 19 days in before succumbing to her injuries on Oct. 22, 2018.

Farrah had an amazing spirit and passion to serve and protect. She loved God, her family and friends, community and the dance floor. Investigator Godwin-Turner is survived by her mother and other family members.
